Guidelines for Admitted Patients & Companions

  1. Visiting hours: MORNING :    9:00 AM – 12:00 NN

                                  AFTERNOON   :    1:00 PM  –  6:00 PM

                           MAXIMUM of (2) TWO visitors are allowed at a time to visit a NON-COVID patient

  1. Bringing of NEBULIZER, GLUCOMETER, OVEN TOASTER, or MICROWAVE

    into the hospital is not permitted.

  1. The patient’s companion is NOT allowed to bring a PILLOW AND BLANKET.

    These are available in the hospital CSR with corresponding fee.

  1. Additional pillow case, bed sheet, or flat sheet is available upon request, with a

    charge. 

  1. Small electrical appliances brought inside the hospital for use should be declared

    with the security guard/nurse in charge and will be charged (based on Room rate)

    per item/unit per day. Payments should only be made at the hospital cashier.

    Keeping the receipts is required for inspection of the security officer along with the

    discharge slip, when the patient is sent home.

  1. Companion of the admitted patient is not allowed to leave the patient alone or loiter

    in other BHMC premises.

  1. Only one (1) companion is allowed to stay in the semi-private/ wardroom, while two

    (2) companions are allowed to stay in the suite/ private room if the patient is

    Pediatric (0-7) or if bedridden.

       8. Companions MUST BE:
                A. 18 years old and above, as much as possible not a senior citizen.

                B. In good health, asymptomatic and fully vaccinated (with completed primary dose of Covid 19 vaccine). If not fully vaccinated, he/she will be asked to have an RTPCR/ Rapid Antigen Test depending on the Attending physician’s discretion.

               C. Not more than 5 months pregnant, for expectant mothers.

               D. A woman as much as possible if the patient is a child.

               E. Able to help in the patient’s care to a permitted extent.
